The position will involve supporting children with significant speech and language delays, learning difficulties, and autism on a full-time basis.

The school's specialist provision supports pupils who require additional interventions and structured support throughout the day. Despite being based within a mainstream primary school, the provision offers a highly personalised approach with smaller group sizes, specialist resources, and close collaboration with external professionals including Speech and Language Therapists.

This role would suit an experienced teaching assistant, support worker, youth worker, care practitioner, or graduate who is looking to build a career within SEND education.

  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, proactive, and capable of building positive relationships with children who may need additional encouragement and support. Experience working alongside pupils with SEND, particularly autism and speech and language needs, would be advantageous.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive primary school in Gorton that is committed to inclusion and ensuring every child receives the specialist support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
