SEN Teacher – Primary / Early Years Setting | Mitcham

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a school in Mitcham to recruit a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher for a full-time role within a Primary or Early Years setting.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a passionate educator with strong SEN/SEND and SEMH experience who is committed to supporting pupils with additional needs and creating an inclusive, nurturing learning environment.
About the Role
- Teaching pupils within a Primary or Early Years SEN setting
- Supporting children with a range of needs including SEN, SEND, and SEMH
- Planning and delivering personalised, engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Creating a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment
- Working closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals
- Implementing EHCP targets and individual support plans
- Monitoring progress and adapting teaching strategies to support development
- Promoting emotional wellbeing, communication, and independence
- Full-time role with immediate or September start available
Essential Requirements – Please Read Carefully
✔️ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
✔️ Proven experience working with SEN/SEND or SEMH pupils
✔️ Experience within a Primary or Early Years setting
✔️ Strong understanding of differentiation and inclusive teaching strategies
✔️ Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
✔️ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
