SEND Teacher – (Billinge)

Location: Billinge
Employer: Teaching Personnel
Contract: Full-time, Long term with the potential to go permanent.

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join a supportive school in Billinge. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a nurturing environment and is committed to helping students achieve their full potential. You will be supporting children with low SEMH needs, ADHD and ASD to engage with their learning and achieve their full potential.


Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Implement strategies to support students with SEMH, ADHD, and ASD.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and support staff.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting plans where necessary.
  • Promote social and emotional development alongside academic achievement.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with SEMH, ADHD, and ASD students.
  • Strong behaviour management and differentiation skills.
  • Empathy, resilience, and a commitment to inclusive education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
