SEND Primary Teacher
Location: Oldham, Manchester

Contract: Full-time, Long-term (Temp to Perm opportunities available)
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming SEND primary school to recruit a dedicated and passionate Qualified Teacher to support pupils aged 4–11 with a range of special educational needs.
The school supports pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), speech and language needs, learning difficulties, SEMH and complex needs providing a structured, inclusive and nurturing learning environment. Class sizes are small, with strong support from experienced teaching assistants and SEN professionals.
This role is suitable for teachers with SEND experience as well as qualified teachers who are keen and eager to develop their skills within SEND, with training and support available.
The Role Will Include:
- Planning and delivering differentiated lessons tailored to individual pupil needs
- Creating a safe, supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- Adapting teaching strategies to meet EHCP targets and individual learning plans
- Supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
- Managing behaviour using positive and consistent approaches
- Assessing and tracking pupil progress
- Working closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, parents and external professionals
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have an interest in or experience working with pupils with SEND
- Be patient, adaptable and committed to inclusive education
- Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Work effectively as part of a collaborative team
- Be committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
(Previous SEND or specialist school experience is desirable but not essential.)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
