Job description

Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Chelveston Road, NN10

Contract: Full-time, 5 days a week (8:30am-3:30pm)

Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a caring and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive SEND school in Chevelston.

The role involves working with pupils with mild special educational needs, supporting their learning and inclusion within the classroom. There are no behavioural needs associated with this role.

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide 1:1 or small-group support under the direction of the class teacher

  • Support pupils’ academic progress, confidence, and independence

  • Help adapt learning activities to meet individual needs

  • Foster a positive, calm, and inclusive learning environment

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children with SEND (preferred)

  • Is patient, nurturing, and encouraging

  • Works well as part of a team and follows guidance from teaching staff

  • Has a genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
