Job description

A secondary school, rated Good by Ofsted, is looking to appoint someone to lead their SEN department from September 2021, with the possibility of an earlier start for the right candidate.

Held in high regard in the local community, the school is looking for a qualified and experienced SENCO who would be responsible for the development, review and effective implementation of special educational needs policy across the school.

The primary responsibilities will be to lead, manage and develop high quality Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision which ensures excellent learning outcomes and progress for all SEN pupils. You will also develop and embed systems to record and monitor pupil SEN progress, as well as managing SEN support staff and preparing and reviewing pupil-specific resources, including pupil profiles, behaviour and healthcare plans and EHCPs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
