Job description

Join Our Team – SEN Tutor (NE10, Newcastle)

Location: NE10, Newcastle
Hours: Part-Time | Weekdays | School Hours

Make a real difference by supporting students with Special Educational Needs through personalised, one-to-one tuition.

As an SEN Tutor, you'll work closely with learners to help them overcome barriers to education, build confidence, and achieve meaningful progress in a supportive learning environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver tailored one-to-one tuition to students with SEN.
  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs and abilities.
  • Use creative and engaging teaching strategies to promote learning.
  • Encourage confidence, independence, and positive engagement.
  • Record student progress and provide regular feedback.

You will need:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
  • Previous tutoring, teaching, or classroom support experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A calm, patient, and adaptable approach.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
