The Role

As a 1:1 Tutor, you will deliver tailored lessons designed around each student’s individual learning needs. You will help build confidence, improve subject understanding, and support students in reaching their academic goals.

Location

Tutoring sessions may take place in person at learners’ homes, schools, or local libraries across Loughborough, depending on individual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging 1:1 tutoring sessions tailored to each student
• Support students in Maths, English, or Science (up to GCSE level)
• Identify learning gaps and develop personalised lesson plans
• Encourage confidence, motivation, and effective study habits
• Provide feedback on student progress when required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ tutoring or teaching experience in the UK
• Strong subject knowledge in Maths, English, or Science
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• A genuine passion for supporting students and helping them succeed
