Hours: Part-time, weekdays during school hours
Are you an experienced and passionate SEN Tutor looking for a rewarding opportunity in Hull?
We are looking for a dedicated tutor to support a student with Special Educational Needs, helping them develop academically, socially, and emotionally in a supportive learning environment.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 or small-group tuition tailored to the student's individual needs.
- Plan and deliver engaging, personalised learning sessions.
- Support students with their academic progress and confidence.
- Adapt teaching strategies to suit different learning styles and abilities.
- Manage behaviour positively and create a safe, supportive learning environment.
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback.
- Work closely with the school and wider support team.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with SEN students.
- Teaching or tutoring experience within a school or educational setting.
- Strong understanding of differentiated learning and individual needs.
- Excellent communication and behaviour-management skills.
- QTS or relevant teaching/tutoring qualifications are desirable.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
