Do you have a passion for supporting students with special educational needs?
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate SEN Tutor to work with students in Guildford. If you have a background in supporting individuals with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and other learning needs, we’d love to hear from you.
This role offers the opportunity to work flexibly while making a real difference in the lives of young people by helping them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess individual learning needs and create tailored schemes of work.
- Plan and deliver engaging, one-to-one or small group sessions for students with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and other SEN.
- Adapt teaching strategies to support students’ unique learning styles and overcome barriers to education.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to parents, carers, or other stakeholders as required.
- Build positive, supportive relationships with students to foster confidence and independence in learning.
About You:
- Experienced in working with students with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and other needs.
- Confident in assessing learning needs and planning bespoke schemes of work.
- Skilled in delivering sessions that are creative, engaging, and tailored to individual requirements.
- Patient, empathetic, and committed to making a positive impact on young lives.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Requirements:
- Relevant teaching or tutoring experience (QTS or specialist qualifications in SEN are desirable but not essential).
- Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions.
- A current DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or willingness to obtain one.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, tailored to student availability.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
