Teaching Personnel – Wirral Branch
SEN Teaching Assistants Required (Full-Time Opportunities Available)

Teaching Personnel’s Wirral branch is currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistants to support our network of partnership schools across the local area.

We are working with a diverse range of educational settings, including mainstream secondary schools, specialist SEND provisions, and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) environments. These roles offer rewarding opportunities to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people who require additional support to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with a range of special educational needs
  • Assist teachers in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons
  • Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development
  • Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals where required

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Availability for full-time work

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
