Are you a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in a supportive secondary school?

We’re working with a fantastic mainstream secondary school with a dedicated SEND base, and they are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and resilient TA to join their team.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys helping young people overcome barriers to learning and thrive both academically and personally.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who have additional needs, providing tailored support both within the classroom and through the school’s SEND provision.

You could be supporting students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, communication and interaction needs, SEMH and learning difficulties.

Your day could include:

  • Supporting students in lessons and helping them access the curriculum
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support where required
  • Working alongside teachers and the SEND team
  • Helping students develop confidence, independence and social skills
  • Supporting students within the school’s dedicated SEND base
  • Providing encouragement, patience and consistency throughout the school day

We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs
  • Patient, empathetic and resilient
  • Confident working with secondary-aged students
  • Able to build positive relationships with students
  • Reliable, proactive and enthusiastic
  • Experienced in an SEN/SEND setting or keen to develop their experience in this area

Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, SEN TA, SEND TA, Support Worker or similar experience is welcomed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
