SEN Teaching Assistant - Rochdale - September 2018

There is an open vacancy for an SEN Specialist Teaching Assistant at our large client school based in Rochdale.

If you are experienced in supporting young people with Special Educational Needs, either inside a secondary school setting, or if you have similar transferable experience then we would like to hear from you…

**Full time SEN Teaching Assistant position starting in September 2018**

**Working on a 1:1 and group basis with identified pupils with EHCP's (needs include ASC, ADHD and SEMH)**

**Earn up to £1300 per month whilst gaining experience in a secondary school and building on your existing skill set**

**Large secondary school in Rochdale close to major transport links to cite centre, including Rochdale railway station and Rochdale interchange**

We are working closely with our client school in Rochdale, supporting them in a restructuring of their SEN department for the upcoming academic year. The school is a large secondary mixed school located close to Rochdale infirmary and a short distance from major transport links from the city centre. The school have a number of pupils enrolled currently having EHCP's and require additional staff in September to support these students, as well as any incoming year 7 students identified as requiring additional assistance.

The position will involve working closely with identified pupils, supporting them with daily school life, whether this is on a 1:1 basis, or within a classroom setting working with a number of pupils and helping them reach the curriculum. You will be required to report back to the SEN Co-Ordinator and Inclusion Manager as well as the pupils parents, reporting on progress and any difficulties that the identified pupils encounter in an attempt to implement strategies to improve their progress in secondary school.
