ASC Support Assistants – Multiple Opportunities in Wythenshawe (M22)

We are working with a mainstream primary school in Wythenshawe that has a dedicated SEN hub and is seeking ASC Support Assistants to join their team. There are multiple full-time roles available, covering emergency absences, short-term and long-term gaps, and ongoing staffing needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with additional needs, particularly Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). Previous school experience is not essential—we welcome applicants with backgrounds or interests in child development, psychology, disability studies, nursing, or related fields. Please note, some personal care may be required.

About the SEN Hub

The hub supports pupils aged 4–11 with a range of needs, including MLD, ASC, SCLN, VI, and HI. As a Support Assistant, you’ll help create positive relationships, encourage good choices and behaviour, and provide general classroom support alongside teachers and other LSAs.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support pupils throughout the school day.
  • Assist across the specialist provision.
  • Incorporate sensory activities into learning.
  • Promote inclusion and positive engagement.

Available Roles

Long-Term Positions

  • Full-time (Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm).
  • Commitment to the school on a long-term basis.
  • Potential for permanent placement.

Short-Term Positions

  • Full-time (varied/ad-hoc days, 8:30am–3:30pm).
  • Covering emergency or scheduled absences.
