SEN Teaching Assistant – Secondary School in Wilmslow
Start Date: September 2025 | Full-Time | Daily Pay: £89 – £100

A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Wilmslow is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their support team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN) and help them thrive both academically and personally.

If you are patient, empathetic, and passionate about education and inclusion, this could be the perfect role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of SEN needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties

  • Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCOs to deliver personalised support plans

  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

  • Support students' emotional and social development as well as academic progress

  • Assist in adapting learning materials and classroom activities to meet individual needs

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in a school, care or youth work setting)

  • Calm, empathetic, and understanding approach

  • Good communication and team-working skills

  • Willingness to learn and respond to students’ unique needs

  • A background in psychology, education, or youth support is beneficial but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
