SEN Teaching Assistant – EYFS & KS1

Location: Widnes
Start Date: February 2026
Contract: Full-time, long-term

Pay Rate: £13.75 - £14.50 per day (depending on experience)

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Widnes, supporting pupils in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 (KS1).

About the Role

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring they thrive in a nurturing environment.
  • Work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging activities and interventions.
  • Assist with personal care and emotional regulation where needed.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working with children with SEN in a school or childcare setting.
  • Knowledge of strategies to support pupils with additional needs (e.g., autism, speech and language difficulties).
  • Patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic about helping children reach their full potential.
  • Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
