We are seeking reliable and compassionate Bank SEN Teaching Assistants to join our supply staff pool. This role is ideal for individuals looking for flexible, ad hoc work supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across our school.

As a Bank SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide short-term cover as required, supporting pupils either one-to-one or in small groups, and assisting teaching staff in creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional, and mental health needs

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support as directed by the class teacher or SENCo

  • Assist with learning activities, behaviour management, and personal care where required

  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil engagement

  • Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed at all times

Requirements

  • Experience working with children with SEN (in a school or similar setting preferred but not required)

  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to different classrooms and pupil needs.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
