SEN Teaching Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel are currently working with a Primary School based in Crewe who are currently looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to support within the schools KS2 department. The ideal candidate will have a calm and empathetic approach to working with young people along with a strong background/knowledge in SEN.
About the role:
- Start-date: 5th January
- Ongoing/long-term role
- Full-time
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with SEN pupils who require additional learning, behavioural and social/emotional support. This will include general support within lessons, as well as 1-1 targeted intervention sessions. You will work closely with the Class Teachers to identify learning gaps and create/implement individualised learning plans. Additionally, you will regularly communicate with parents/carers and any third parties when necessary.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong background and experience with SEN
- Experience working with primary-aged students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both students and staff
- A genuine passion for working with young people and improving their learning experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
