SEN Teaching Assistant – Stockport
Are you passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 or in small groups with students at a secondary school in Stockport. This role is ideal for someone with experience in SEN support who is committed to helping students overcome barriers to learning.
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Stockport
Salary: £85–£100 per day (dependent on experience)
Responsibilities:

Work closely with students with SEN, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs
-
Assist in adapting lesson materials to meet the individual needs of students
-
Provide one-to-one and small-group support to help students stay engaged with their learning
-
Support classroom teachers in implementing effective behaviour and learning strategies
-
Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements:
-
Previous experience working with SEN students in a school or care setting
-
Knowledge of strategies for supporting students with additional needs
-
Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
-
A willingness to undertake relevant training and work closely with the SENCO and school staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
