Teaching Assistant (SEN Experience) Wanted in Southampton!
Location: various locations across Southampton
Salary: Hourly pay
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, 8:30 - 3:30

The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with classroom teachers and SENCOs to support individual pupils and small groups, helping to create a positive learning experience tailored to each child’s needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with a patient, empathetic approach and a genuine desire to help children thrive.
Key Responsibilities:

Support pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, speech & language difficulties, and emotional/behavioral needs.

Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities.

Promote inclusion and encourage independence.

Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
Requirements:
-
Previous experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting.

A calm, positive, and flexible approach to working with children.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Relevant qualifications or training (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEND training) are desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
