Teaching Assistant - Term Time Only | ASAP or September Start

Salary: £92.68 - £100 per day
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
Location: Redbourn, St Albans, Hertfordshire

We are seeking a caring, proactive, and creative Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school supporting students aged 5-19 with a range of needs, including MLD, SLD, Autism, ADHD, and SEMH.

This is an exciting temp-to-perm opportunity within a supportive and well-resourced environment, offering excellent career development and fully funded qualifications.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support students in the classroom, within the local community, and during enrichment activities
  • Help learners achieve their educational, social, and personal development goals
  • Promote independence, inclusion, confidence, and self-esteem
  • Provide personal care and physical support where required
  • Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated and supportive team

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs
  • Is positive, proactive, and solution-focused
  • Brings creativity and enthusiasm to learning opportunities
  • Enjoys outdoor learning and community-based activities
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Holds a DBS certificate or is willing to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
