Job Vacancy: Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant – Poole
Are you an experienced and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a supportive school environment? One of our excellent partner schools in Poole is looking to appoint a committed and confident individual to join their team full-time.
About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You'll be working both one-to-one and in small groups to help students reach their full potential in and out of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing tailored support to students with diverse SEN
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson adaptation and delivery
- Helping to implement and monitor individual education plans (IEPs)
- Encouraging pupil engagement and promoting a positive learning experience
- Managing behaviour in a calm and consistent manner
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has previous experience supporting children with SEN (preferably in a school setting)
- Brings a patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
- Works well within a team and communicates effectively with staff and students
- Is reliable, organised, and committed to the full-time role

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
