SEN Teaching Assistant – Flexible Opportunities
Location: Peacehaven, East Sussex
Start Date: Flexible / Ongoing
Contract: Full-time, Part-time & Supply

Teaching Personnel are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs within a welcoming primary school in Peacehaven. Flexible and long-term opportunities are available depending on your experience and availability.

The school provides a supportive environment where pupils with a range of needs are encouraged to thrive, with staff working collaboratively to deliver tailored support and a broad, engaging curriculum.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
  • Assist children with autism, SEMH, or additional learning needs
  • Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement support plans
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience supporting children with SEN (school or similar setting preferred)
  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
