Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant – Autism & ADHD Support
New Malden | February Start | Long-Term Role until July 2026
 
Do you have experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, or additional learning needs?
Or are you a Psychology graduate looking to start your career in education?

A friendly mainstream primary school in New Malden is recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within their dedicated SEN provision.

About the role:
  • 1:1 and small group support for pupils with high-functioning autism
  • Supporting emotional wellbeing, communication, and learning
  • Using visual aids, clear routines, and calm approaches
  • Working alongside teachers, SENCOs, and parents
 
Ideal background & Skills:
  • Previous SEN TA experience
  • Psychology / Criminology graduate with child-related experience
  • Confident, empathetic, and proactive
  • Strong communication skills
 
This is a long-term, full-time role offering excellent experience and training.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
