SEN Support Assistant – Full-Time
Location: Ardwick, M21
Contract: January – July 2026
Teaching Personnel is seeking a committed and professional SEN Support Assistant to join a highly regarded primary school in Ardwick. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to an inclusive learning environment and support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in achieving their full potential.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted support to pupils with SEN on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated learning activities
- Support the implementation and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to monitor pupil progress
- Adapt support strategies to meet individual needs effectively
Essential Requirements:
- DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting pupils with SEN
- Experience within SEND, youth work, sports coaching, or pastoral support (preferred but not essential)
- Team Teach or equivalent training (advantageous)
- Level 2 Safeguarding certification or willingness to complete training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
