About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a specialist school in Leatherhead. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students’ lives by helping them access education, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
- Support pupils with emotional regulation and social development
- Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and SENCOs
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school or care setting preferred)
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
