SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School – WA4
Location: WA4
Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Contract: Full-time, temporary with a view to permanent
Start Date: September 2026
Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a welcoming primary school in the WA4 area.
The successful candidate will provide tailored support to pupils with additional needs, helping them to access the curriculum, develop their independence and feel confident within the school environment.
You may be supporting pupils with:
- Autism
- ADHD
- Speech and Language needs
- SEMH
- Additional learning needs
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience supporting children with SEN
- Be patient, calm and nurturing
- Be confident adapting their approach to meet individual needs
- Build strong and trusting relationships with pupils
- Work effectively with teachers and the wider school team
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about inclusive education, with the potential to secure a permanent position following a successful agency placement.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
