Teaching Personnel are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the WA4 area who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from September.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced TA or HLTA who is looking for a new challenge and would like to take on a varied and rewarding role within a supportive school environment.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting both pupils and teachers across the school. You will work closely with the wider staff team to help deliver engaging learning opportunities, provide targeted support to pupils and, where required, take responsibility for leading lessons and covering classes.

The role may include:

• Supporting teaching and learning across the primary age range
• Working closely with class teachers to ensure pupils receive the support they need
• Leading small-group interventions and targeted learning activities
• Delivering pre-planned lessons and learning activities
• Providing PPA cover and general classroom cover when required
• Supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them overcome barriers to learning
• Building positive relationships with pupils and encouraging their confidence and independence
• Supporting the wider development and wellbeing of pupils
• Working collaboratively with teachers, support staff and senior leaders
• Contributing to a positive, inclusive and engaging school environment

The school is looking for someone who is confident, adaptable and passionate about education, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff. You should be comfortable taking initiative in the classroom while also working effectively as part of a wider team.

This role would suit an experienced HLTA, Teaching Assistant or education professional who is ready to take the next step in their career.

The position is initially offered on a temporary basis through Teaching Personnel, with a genuine opportunity for the role to become permanent for the right candidate following a successful placement.
