Early Years SEN Specialist Teaching Assistant – Lancaster & Surrounding Areas

Location: Lancaster, Morecambe, Heysham, Carnforth
Start Date: Immediate & Ongoing Opportunities
Competitive Pay – Weekly PAYE

Do you have experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)? Are you passionate about helping young learners thrive in a nurturing environment?

Teaching Personnel is seeking SEN Specialist Teaching Assistants to work in early years settings across Lancaster and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children who need additional support.


What You’ll Do

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with SEN in early years classrooms
  • Assist with individual learning plans and tailored interventions
  • Support with speech, language, and communication development
  • Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to create an inclusive learning environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience supporting children with SEN (e.g., autism, speech & language needs, developmental delays)
  • Knowledge of EYFS curriculum and child development
  • Patient, caring, and adaptable approach
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents
  • Based in or able to commute to Lancaster, Morecambe, Heysham, Carnforth

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
