SEN Teaching Assistant (Full Time)
Start Date: October Half Term 2026
We are seeking a dedicated, caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our specialist school community from October half term on a full-time basis.
Our school provides a supportive and nurturing environment for children and young people aged 4 to 19 with a range of special educational needs, including autism, complex learning difficulties and communication needs. We are committed to ensuring every learner is able to thrive, develop independence and achieve their individual potential through personalised support, high expectations and a child-centred approach.
The Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to support pupils both in and out of the classroom. You will play a vital role in helping learners access education, develop social and communication skills, build confidence and celebrate success.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with a range of additional needs on a 1:1 and small group basis.
- Assist in delivering engaging and interactive learning activities.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Support pupils with communication, social and independence skills.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists and families.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
