SEN / SEMH Teaching Assistant – Immediate Start, Full-Time
Halesworth, Suffolk
Full UK Driving Licence Required
We’re recruiting a dedicated SEN / SEMH Teaching Assistant for a full-time, immediate-start role at a specialist school near Halesworth, set in a rural location just off the A12. Due to the location, a full UK driving licence is essential.

The Role
As an SEN / SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN and SEMH needs
- Support learning, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour
- Help maintain a calm, structured, and supportive environment
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
- Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff
What We’re Looking For
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN and/or SEMH
- A full UK driving licence (essential due to rural location)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (ideal to fast-track the role)
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Full-time availability and commitment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
