Job description

We are recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work full time in schools across Godalming, supporting children and young people with a range of special educational needs.

This role involves supporting pupils in the classroom, in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, helping them access learning in a safe, structured and nurturing environment. Opportunities are available in both mainstream and specialist SEN settings.

The Role

  • Support pupils with SEN, including autism, ADHD and social, emotional and mental health needs

  • Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities

  • Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and independence

  • Provide tailored support to meet individual learning needs

  • Support pupils’ wellbeing and safeguarding

The Ideal Candidate

  • Passionate about SEN and inclusive education

  • Patient, empathetic and resilient

  • Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

  • Previous SEN or school experience is desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
