Position: Part-Time Teaching Assistant
Location: Bournemouth, Dorset
Hours: 5 Mornings per Week (Monday–Friday, 8:30am–12:00pm)
Start Date: February 2026

Role Overview

Are you looking for a rewarding part-time role where you can make a real difference?
We’re looking for a friendly and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bournemouth. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys supporting children’s learning in a small group setting and being a key part of the classroom team.

You’ll work closely with the class teacher, helping to deliver engaging activities, providing extra support to groups of pupils, and ensuring every child feels confident and supported in their learning.

Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher with daily classroom activities and preparation.

  • Work with small groups of children to reinforce learning and build confidence.

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.

  • Encourage participation and engagement during lessons.

  • Provide feedback to the teacher on pupil progress and any areas for additional support.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Must be a UK resident.

  • Previous experience working within a school or educational setting is desirable.

  • A kind, patient, and proactive approach to working with children.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Passionate about supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
