Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Type: Full-time/Part-time

Working Hours: 8:30am to 3:15pm, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only

About Us: Teaching Personnel is an education agency committed to providing exceptional support to schools and educational institutions. We are currently seeking dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants for a reputable secondary SEN school in Enfield. The school specialises in catering to the educational needs of children aged 11-18 with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).

Position Overview:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the academic and personal development of students with Severe Learning Difficulties. The school is open to both full-time and part-time candidates, offering flexibility in choosing workdays for part-time roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or group support to students with Severe Learning Difficulties.
  • Assist the class teacher in implementing individualised education plans.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students in their social and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to create engaging learning activities.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with individuals with SEN, either in an educational setting or within the care sector.
  • Understanding of Severe Learning Difficulties and strategies to support student learning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with SEN students.
  • Flexibility to work either full-time or part-time, with the ability to choose workdays for part-time positions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
