Ad Hoc SEN Teaching Assistants
We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable SEN Teaching Assistants to support a specialist school in the Chorley area. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs and are looking for flexible or full-time work.
The role involves supporting pupils with a range of additional needs in a structured and supportive school environment. Staff will work closely with teachers and other professionals to help students engage with learning and develop their independence.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils with special educational needs including autism, communication needs, and learning difficulties
- Assisting the class teacher with classroom activities and lesson delivery
- Providing one-to-one or small group support
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement with learning
- Supporting pupils with personal development, social skills and independence
- Helping to create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have experience working with children or young people with SEN, in schools, care or support settings
- Are patient, calm and adaptable
- Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Are reliable and able to work as part of a team
- Are passionate about supporting young people to reach their potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
