Ad Hoc SEN Teaching Assistants 

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable SEN Teaching Assistants to support a specialist school in the Chorley area. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs and are looking for flexible or full-time work.

The role involves supporting pupils with a range of additional needs in a structured and supportive school environment. Staff will work closely with teachers and other professionals to help students engage with learning and develop their independence.

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils with special educational needs including autism, communication needs, and learning difficulties
• Assisting the class teacher with classroom activities and lesson delivery
• Providing one-to-one or small group support
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement with learning
• Supporting pupils with personal development, social skills and independence
• Helping to create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment

We are looking for candidates who:

• Have experience working with children or young people with SEN, in schools, care or support settings
• Are patient, calm and adaptable
• Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Are reliable and able to work as part of a team
• Are passionate about supporting young people to reach their potential
