Job description

Are you a proactive, positive Teaching Assistant who loves getting stuck in and making a real difference?

We are working with a truly lovely primary school in Canton that is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their specialist SEN classroom within a mainstream setting. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a welcoming, supportive school community where staff genuinely enjoy coming to work.

The school itself is large, vibrant and incredibly welcoming, with fantastic facilities, a strong leadership team and on-site parking available for staff.

The Role

You will be supporting pupils with additional learning needs both on a 1:1 basis and within small group settings, helping them to access learning, build confidence and achieve their individual goals.

Whilst SEN experience is beneficial, the school is particularly keen to meet candidates who are:

  • Happy to get involved in all aspects of school life
  • Adaptable and resilient
  • Passionate about supporting children with additional learning needs
  • Comfortable supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

Requirements

  • Experience working with children is desirable
  • Experience supporting SEN learners is beneficial but not essential
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
