SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time (Immediate Start)

Role Overview

We are recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 11 to 16 within a highly supportive secondary setting in Bournemouth.

This is a full-time role with an immediate start, ideal for someone passionate about making a lasting impact in education.

 

Working hours: 8.30am to 4pm

Pay rate: £13.75 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group classroom support

  • Encourage engagement, confidence and progress

  • Support learning activities and daily routines

  • Build positive relationships with pupils and staff

  • Assist with behaviour support in line with school policies

 

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months childcare experience, particularly supporting children with SEN needs

  • A patient, resilient and proactive approach

  • Ability to commit to a full-time secondary role

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
