Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated, nurturing, and proactive Teaching Assistant to join a supportive mainstream primary school in Blackpool, working within a specialised provision that supports children with complex needs and Special Educational Needs (SEN).

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about helping children thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally—within a caring and structured environment.

The Role

You will:

• Support small groups of pupils with a range of complex needs, including communication difficulties, sensory needs, ASD, SEMH, and learning delays.
• Work closely with the SENCO and class teachers to deliver tailored interventions.
• Provide emotional regulation support, encouraging independence and confidence.
• Assist with personalised learning plans and adapted curriculum activities.
• Create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment for all children.

The Ideal Candidate

We would love to hear from you if you have:

• Experience supporting children with SEN or complex needs (school or care background considered).
• A calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• A genuine passion for improving outcomes for children.
