SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)

 Location: Birmingham | Salary: DOE  | Full-Time | Term Time Only |

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and welcoming SEN school. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed to helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support students with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning needs.
  • Work closely with teachers and other professionals to deliver tailored learning and intervention programmes.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience working with children or young people with SEN.
  • Is patient, resilient, and adaptable.
  • Has strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Can confidently support students with varying needs and abilities.
  • Is passionate about making a positive impact on young people's lives.
  • Holds relevant qualifications (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
