SEN Teaching Assistant
Primary Schools – Sheffield & Barnsley
We are looking for caring, dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs across a range of welcoming primary schools in Sheffield and Barnsley.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to helping children thrive both academically and emotionally.
The Role:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN
- Support children with EHCPs, ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and other additional needs
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Help create a safe, nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with children with SEN (school-based or relevant setting)
- A patient, empathetic and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Relevant SEN training or qualifications (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
