Teaching Personnel
Teaching Personnel is seeking caring, resilient and motivated SEN Primary Teaching Assistants to work in a range of specialist and mainstream primary schools across High Wycombe.
We have both daily supply and long-term placements available, making this a great opportunity whether you’re looking for flexible work or a consistent, ongoing role.
About the Role
As an SEN Primary Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a variety of additional needs, including:

Autism (ASC)
-
ADHD
-
SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health)
-
Global developmental delay
-
Speech and language needs
-
Learning difficulties
Your responsibilities may include:
-
Providing 1:1 support tailored to individual needs
-
Supporting small group interventions
-
Assisting with communication, sensory and behavioural needs
-
Helping teachers to adapt and deliver lessons
-
Using creative, nurturing and patient approaches to engage pupils
-
Supporting pupils during transitions, break times and activities
-
Contributing to EHCP targets and recording progress

What We’re Looking For

Experience working with children or young people with additional needs

Calm, patient and caring nature

Ability to build trust and positive relationships with pupils

Good understanding of SEN or willingness to learn

Adaptability and resilience in the classroom

Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
