SEN Teaching Assistant - Thornton & Fylde Coast

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs? We are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work within specialist SEN schools across Thornton and the wider Fylde Coast, including Blackpool, Fleetwood, Poulton-le-Fylde and Lytham St Annes.

This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with a range of needs, including Autism, learning difficulties, communication needs and complex SEND. You will work closely with experienced teaching staff to help students engage with learning, develop confidence and achieve their potential.

We welcome applications from experienced Teaching Assistants as well as individuals from care, support work, youth work, residential care or graduate backgrounds who are looking to start a career in education.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be patient, caring and resilient
  • Have a genuine passion for supporting young people
  • Be confident building positive relationships
  • Have experience working with children or vulnerable individuals (desirable but not essential)
  • Be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS check

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
