SEN Teaching Assistant – EYFS, KS1 & KS2

Location: Preston, South Ribble, Leyland, Chorley, West Lancashire & Blackburn with Darwen
Pay: £14.25 per hour
Contract: Flexible supply / short-term / long-term opportunities

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with SEN experience looking for flexible work or longer-term opportunities within primary schools? This could be the ideal role for you.

We are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 in a number of welcoming primary schools across Lancashire.

About the Role

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Work one‑to‑one and with small groups to support learning, development and behaviour
  • Assist pupils with a range of needs, including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language, and additional learning needs
  • Support the class teacher in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons
  • Flexible day‑to‑day supply, short‑term and long‑term placements available

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
  • Experience across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2
  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
