SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools in Doncaster

Start Date: Flexible / Ongoing
Contract Type: Full-time & Part-time roles available
Pay: £90 – £110 per day (dependent on experience)

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a number of inclusive and supportive primary schools across Doncaster to recruit dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants.

This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them to reach their full potential within a primary school setting.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

  • Assisting with learning activities across EYFS, KS1, and KS2

  • Supporting pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH

  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

  • Working closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals

  • Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has experience working with children with SEN (school or care-based experience considered)

  • Is patient, caring, and resilient

  • Demonstrates good communication and behaviour management skills

  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing

  • Holds relevant TA qualifications (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
