SEN Teaching Assistant - Cardiff
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
Teaching Personnel works with a number of SEN schools that are dedicated to educating PMLD students. Many have very impressive facilities suitable for their lessons, such as swimming pools dedicated to hydrotherapy. There is particular SEN school in Cardiff that is looking for support for one of their classes with a mixture of SEN.
Many of the pupils have low mobility so urgently require someone who is Moving & Handling trained. Although moving & handling is beneficial it is not essential as we have consultants who are trained to deliver specific training to help you flourish in your role.
The pupils need someone with experience who is dedicated to working with SEN pupils. They need to be confident in the classroom and have innovative ways of helping PMLD students. The lessons are delivered to be sensory stimulating and interactive for the pupils, so experience with this type of lesson is advantageous.
Worried you have little experience within the classroom - do not panic! I am looking for the right personality to fit well into this team. We have a mixture of full time, long term roles and short term, day-to-day placements. So there are placements that are flexible and suit your work preference.
For more information please get in touch with our SEN team at your earliest convenience.
