SEN teaching assistant -Bury
A primary school in Prestwich, Bury (M25) is looking for a teaching assistant to work in the schools reception class supporting a pupil with complex additional needs. This role will involve supporting a child on a 1:1 basis with an educational health care plan on a full time basis. The role will be starting on the 9th September and will carry on until the end of the academic year.
A successful primary school applicant should:
- Be creative, enthusiastic and engaging
- Have previous experience working with children with special educational needs
- Be flexible and adaptable
The Bury primary school is average sized and is an inclusive and happy school which focuses on ensuring all their pupils are happy, safe and reach their individual potential. It not only aims to develop positive attitudes to the pupils in school and to the communities they contribute too.
The pupil has low functioning Autism a long with physical needs and has a PEG feed. The Head teacher is looking for a confident teaching assistant who has previous experience working with children with special educational needs. The role will involve supporting the pupils academic needs as they are behind in their learning and there will also be personal care involved in the role.
