Full time 5 days a week from January 2020 (Full year contract)

2:1 role supporting the child in question

Role:

The successful candidate will be required to work on a 2:1 basis with a in Reception who has recently moved to school. The child has been diagnosed with Autism, as well as other complex needs which can lead to toileting issues. This pupil needs nurturing support which will contribute towards positively managing behaviour in the classroom and enable them reach their full potential. The child is currently working at a nursery level which is well below age related expectations & can display ‘testing’ behaviour at times. The school have funding from LCC to support the child academically & socially.

The role will involve 1:1 support work both inside and out of class as appropriate. Experience working with pupils within a nurture/SEN provision would be desirable. The role will be 8:30 – 3:30, Monday to Friday, with an hour for your dinner.

The School:

The school is a larger than average, 1.5 entry primary school, located in Burnley. It is easily accessible via a number of public transport. The school has very high expectations of behaviour management in school, as school is excellent across all year groups. The school environment is a pleasure to work in. The majority of children who attend the school are from white British heritage, with a small percentage of eastern European pupils attend the school.
