SEND Teaching Assistant – Temp to Permanent (5 Permanent Vacancies)

Teaching Personnel is recruiting five dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to join a specialist school on a temp-to-permanent basis. This is more than just a job; it's an opportunity to have a lasting impact on the lives of children with complex additional needs.
Successful candidates will initially be employed through Teaching Personnel before moving onto a permanent contract directly with the school following a successful placement.

The Role
You will work closely with pupils with a range of severe and complex learning needs, providing tailored support both in and out of the classroom.
Your responsibilities will include:

Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND.

Supporting children with a range of needs, including:
-
Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
-
ADHD
-
Physical disabilities
-
Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
-

Assisting with personal care where required, always maintaining dignity, respect, and safeguarding.

Supporting pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social development.

Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to deliver personalised learning and care plans.

Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
-
Has experience working with children or young people with SEND in education, care, or support settings.
-
Is patient, resilient, empathetic, and able to remain calm in challenging situations.
-
Has experience or knowledge of supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, physical disabilities, or PMLD.
-
Is comfortable supporting pupils with personal care when required.
-
Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
-
Is committed to making a positive and lasting difference in the lives of children with complex needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
