SEN Secondary Teacher (Multi-Needs) - South London
Location: South London
Job Type: Full-Time / Long-Term

We are working with a number of excellent secondary schools and specialist provisions across South London who are seeking experienced and dedicated SEN Teachers to support students with a wide range of additional needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for a qualified teacher who is confident teaching across different ability levels, adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs, and supporting students to achieve their full potential.
The Role
As an SEN Secondary Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across a range of subjects and year groups.
- Support students with a variety of Special Educational Needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, Speech & Language needs, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and other additional learning needs.
- Adapt teaching strategies, resources, and lesson plans to suit individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with SENCOs, support staff, therapists, and external agencies.
- Monitor student progress and provide clear feedback to staff, parents, and carers.
- Manage behaviour effectively using positive behaviour strategies.
- Promote student independence, confidence, and personal development.
Essential Requirements
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
✅ Proven experience working within SEN and/or specialist educational settings
✅ Experience teaching secondary-aged pupils
✅ Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
✅ Ability to teach and cover a range of subjects when required
✅ Flexible, resilient, and committed to meeting the changing needs of the school and students
✅ Excellent communication and teamwork skills
✅ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
