Job description

SEN Teacher – Full-Time

Location: Christchurch, Dorset
Start Date: September 2026

Looking for a role where you can genuinely change lives?

At Teaching Personnel, we know that the best SEN teachers don't just teach – they build confidence, celebrate every achievement and help children believe in themselves.

We're currently supporting one of our lovely mainstream primary schools in Christchurch in finding an enthusiastic and caring SEN Teacher to join their specialist hub from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with smaller groups of pupils and wants to make a real difference every single day.

You'll be joining a welcoming school where inclusion is at the heart of everything they do. With the support of an experienced team around you, you'll have the opportunity to create engaging learning experiences that help every child reach their own potential.

What You'll Be Doing

Every day will be different, but your role will include:

  • Delivering engaging, personalised lessons to meet individual learning needs.
  • Creating a calm, positive and nurturing environment where children feel safe to learn.
  • Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them grow both academically and personally.
  • Working closely with teaching assistants, the SENCO and families to ensure every child receives the support they deserve.
  • Celebrating progress, building confidence and encouraging independence in every learner.

We'd Love to Hear From You If You:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have experience working with children with additional needs, either in mainstream or specialist settings.
  • Are patient, compassionate and genuinely passionate about inclusive education.
  • Enjoy thinking creatively to help every child access learning.
  • Believe that relationships are just as important as results.

Why Work with Teaching Personnel?

  • Competitive weekly pay based on your experience.
  • Access to free CPD and specialist SEN training.
  • A dedicated consultant who will take the time to understand what you're looking for.
  • Long-term opportunities with the potential to become permanent.
  • Simple online timesheets and booking management through the myTP portal.
  • Opportunities in fantastic schools across Dorset.

Interested?

If you're looking for your next opportunity in a supportive school where you'll be valued and where your work will have a lasting impact, we'd love to hear from you.
